Abstract:
Our body is made of muscles, bones, blood and other biological cells. A cell consists of many molecules made of atoms by chemical binding. An atom consists of a nucleus and electrons. A simple property of nucleus, the charge, determine the number of electrons and thus all the properties of atom.
Nuclei are sitting at the center of all atoms and provide the most part of the mass of all materials. If your weight is 70 kg, then only about 30 g come from other than nucleus. The world of nuclei is physics world but it determines all properties of Chemistry and Biology. So we have to understand physics of nuclei to know what is the origin of us.
Where and how are those nuclei synthesized? Understanding all those things are part of nuclear physics and cosmonuclear physics. In addition, nuclei themselves have interesting properties that draw strong attention as research.
In the present lecture I will discuss where those nuclei were synthesized.
