15 achievements of Liberal Arts in Soochow University Won the Eighth Excellent Achievement Award of Scientific Research in Colleges Ministry of Education

A few days ago, Ministry of Education officially announced results of the Eighth Excellent Achievement Award of Scientific Research in Colleges. Soochow University won 15prizes, including 3 first prizes, 10 second prizes and 2 third prizes.

 

In terms of winning awards, there are three highlights. First, 17 years later, Soochow University won the first prize again, and three professors won the same prize at the same time, which was a historic breakthrough. Second, the total number of awards doubled compared with the previous one. There were 15 awards this time, and 7 awards last time. Third, the number of prizes ranked 26th and the number of first prizes ranked 11th, with the number of application quota ranked 47th in the country. The ratio of awards to application quota was 33.3%, which was twice of the national average award rate of 16.3%, and the award rate ranked 9th in the country.

 

Excellent Achievement Award of Scientific Research in Humanities and Social Sciences in Colleges of Ministry of Education was the highest level award of Humanities and Social Sciences in China, which was generally once every three years. The last one was evaluated in 2015. to This time, Ministry of education selected 1539 outstanding achievements. Soochow University made a major breakthrough, fully demonstrating the scientific research quality of academic achievements in humanities and social sciences.

 

The following were 15 awards. The scholars winning the first prizes included Luo Shijin from School of Chinese Language and Literature, and Feng Bo and Lai Fu Jun from School of Business. The scholars winning the second prizes included Fang Shinan from School of Marxism, Ren Ping and Chen Jinhua from School of Politics and Public Administration, Gu Peiya and Chen Daliang from School of Foreign Languages, Wang Weidong and Zhu Donglin from School of Chinese Language and Literature, Zhang Pengchuan from School of Arts, Chen Long from School of Communication, and Wang Jiahong from School of Physical Education. The scholars winning the third prizes included Zang Zhifei from School of Social Sciences, and Zhang Ming from School of Education.
