On the morning of November 3rd, the National Science and Technology Award conference was held in Beijing. Professor?Jacques P. Caen, who applied with the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University as the first cooperation unit, won the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of China, which was the first time for Soochow University to win the award.

Jacques P. Caen is President of Foundation Franco-Chinoise pour la Science et ses Application (FFCSA), an internationally renowned hematology expert, an Academician of the French Academy of Medical Sciences, an Academician of French Academy of Engineering, and a foreign member of Chinese Academy of Engineering. He has been engaged in basic and clinical research in the field of bleeding and thrombosis for a long time, and has published more than 900 research papers so far. Professor Jacques P. Caen has been closely cooperating with the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University and other domestic units. He has successively guided four people including the Academician Ruan Changgeng in studying for the doctor’s degree, published 69 papers and 2 monographs with Chinese scholars, and made great contributions to the cause of hematology in China.
