Contents and abstract:Wu culture is the result of material and spiritual civilization created by the people of Wu?area.In the long-term development process of Wu culture, there have been major changes, and the change of folk customs is an important aspect.Wu Diren's advocating cultural education and Wu dialect of soft tones’ phenomenon is not the case since ancient times, but has experienced a drastic change from advocating force to advocating cultural education.So how did this transition happen? What is the reason for the change? What are the outstanding ingredients in Wu culture that deserve to be inherited and promoted? This report will answer one by one.

 

Introduction:Wang Weiping, Ph.D., National Hiroshima University, Minister of Education, Jiang Scholar, Distinguished Professor of Suzhou University, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of Wu Culture Research Base, Jiangsu Provincial Humanities and Social Sciences Key Research Base, and Suzhou Library Director.The guest speaker of CCTV's "100 Lectures" column. He is also a member of the Teaching Guidance Committee of the History Department of the Ministry of Education, the executive director of the Chinese Society of Social History, the director of the China Economic History Society, the director of the China Social Security Society, the executive director of the China Fan Zhongyan Research Association, the Jiangsu Economic History Society, and the Regional Culture Research Association. Chang, President of the Suzhou Historical Society, overseas judges of the Hiroshima Historical Society, etc.It mainly studies Chinese urban history, social history, Jiangnan regional history (Wu culture history) and Fang Zhixue. He has presided over more than 10 projects including the National Social Science Fund and the Ministry of Education. He has edited 5 sets of books such as Wu Culture Research and Suzhou Literature Series, and published more than 10 monographs in "Chinese Social Science" and "Historical Research". More than 180 papers have been published in domestic and foreign journals such as "History Research" (Japan) and "Journal of Hiroshima Toyo History" (Japan).
