The Soochow University School of Music (SUSM) offers majors in music performance, composition, musicology, and music education. Led by the cellist and conductor, Dr. Hekun Wu, SUSM boasts an international faculty from around the globe. With a broad curriculum designed to enrich its performance program by encouraging interdisciplinary learning, SUSM is committed to educating a new generation of musicians—thinkers and innovators who will seek to serve society through the arts. 

The School of Music regularly invites guest artists and scholars from around the world to give lectures, masterclasses, and performances. With its bilingual classroom environment, SUSM aims to reinforce the significance of communication and collaboration with other outstanding institutions. 

The SUSM faculty body consists of outstanding performers, composers, scholars, and educators who have graduated and taught at top universities and conservatories around the world. In addition, the music education department boasts a strong program of study, and currently includes faculty in piano, voice, Chinese folk music, and music theory.
